While the virtual battles of any videogame are waged with the utmost realism, contemporary wars appear more like science fiction. The reality (or virtual reality) conveyed in official reports or promoted by the entertainment industry do not in any way correspond to the experiences of the people trapped within present-day war games. This exhibition uses the formal characteristics of an epic adventure videogame to take a critical look at the different thought and behaviour patterns that occur at the levels of geopolitics and daily life. The exhibition area has been transformed into a virtual interactive scenario in which the visitor becomes both player and participant immersed in the Balkan conflict zone. The aim of this project is to create an open space for acting and communicating on the religious, social and political conflicts that continue to inflame the Balkans.
